The Concise Dictionary of Dress

Set within Blythe House, the former headquarters of the Post Office Bank and current offsite archive for the V&A, the exhibition presented a walk-through dictionary of dress based on definitions by the psychoanalyst Adam Phillips. The defined words, chosen for their sartorial, spatial, and psychological significance, were prompts for eleven installations of cast objects, photographs, and tableaux of clothing.

Based on sketches by Judith Clark, created by Sam Collins with Simon Ings and Rosie Taylor-Davies.
